Will Nowesnick, #30 for the Philadelphia Barrage, is spening his offseason training and getting ready for the holidays!
Nowesnick is a product of the burgeoning lacrosse hotbed in the Northern Chicago suburbs. Will attended high school at Loyola Academy where he was a State Champion and high school All-American.
Following his successful high school career, Nowesnick attended Salisbury University where he served as a team captain his senior year and was a two-time USILA First-Team All-American. Will won TWO national championships and played in a third Championship Weekend before turning pro.
Nowesnick made quite an impression during his first season in the league. He picked up 33 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers in his debut season. He also added Warrior Rookie of the Week to his resume on August 29th, 2019 when he grabbed four groundballs and caused two turnovers.
Nowesnick followed his impressive debut season with an impactful 2020 season. He finished his 2020 run fifth in the league in caused turnovers with eight and was also fifth in the league averaging 1.6 turnovers a game.
We caught up with Will this week and asked him how he is spending the holiday season...
Do you have any holiday traditions you are excited about?
My favorite tradition is putting a wreath on the car!
What have you been doing with your down time?
I have been hitting the weights, walking my poodle, playing board games (Monopoly & Scrabble) and running.
