
Pheasants Announce Exhibition Game In Huron

Sioux Falls, SD--The Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants announced today they will play an exhibition game in Huron, SD on Saturday, May 8th at 2 PM against the Sioux City Explorers. The game will take place at Memorial Stadium and will be a benefit for the Huron Community Foundation.
Three-time World Series champion and Oakland A's second baseman Dick Green will throw out the first pitch at the game. Green is a native to South Dakota and a graduate of Mitchell High School. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Green at the ballpark. He spent 12 years with the Kansas City/Oakland A's from 1963-1974, earning World Series titles in 1972, 1973 and 1974.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at various locations in Huron for $8 or $10 at the gate the day of the game. VIP seating is also available for $13 in advance and $15 at the gate.
"It seems only fitting that the new Sioux Falls Pheasants kick of their 2010 season at Memorial Park, home of the largest Pheasant in South Dakota," said Dick Werner, the Secretary Treasurer & Event Coordinator. "The city of Huron and the Huron Community Foundation is excited to have the Pheasants apart of our annual fundraiser. Their participation is greatly appreciated."
The game is taking place in part with "All Sports Day in Huron" where all youth baseball or softball players who wear their entire uniform to the game will be admitted free! The Jack Links tailgate party will start at noon with on field activities starting at 1:30 PM.
The Pheasants will release the rest of their exhibition schedule sometime next week. The regular season begins at home on Thursday, May 13th at 7 PM against Lincoln. Season tickets are now available as well as the all new "E-Z Game Tickets" which include 10 vouchers good for any Pheasants baseball or Stampede hockey game.
