June 2, 2005 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
New Hampshire Phantoms News Release
Hampstead, NH, 06/02/05 -- The NH Phantoms entertain the North Virginia Royals in a game from the USL Second Division this Friday June 3rd at Dr George J. Larkin Field (directions) on the Campus of SNHU at 7.30 pm.
This is a real chance for the local team to get back on winning track. The visitors are the only team in the table without points. They have lost all their six games, scoring only two goals and conceding 27 goals. The Phantoms have lost their last four games with the same score line 1:3 and are one place from bottom with three points. Craig Stewart, who was out for the opening part of the season from a groin injury has started full training and is expected to be in the squad for the game. Head coach Suleyman Doenmez had a nightmare list of injury problems, but most of the players have recovered already and the Phantoms look confident to turn things around.
The NH Lady Phantoms will play against South Jersey Banshees in the USL-W league this Saturday June 4th at Dr George J. Larkin Field at 5.00 pm. The Lady Phantoms will be looking to pick up their first victory.
