Phantoms and Cumulus Media to Continue Partnership

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown Phantoms and Cumulus Media have reached an agreement that will keep the Phantoms on Sports Radio 1240 AM WBBW for the upcoming season.

Sports Radio 1240 AM will broadcast all 60 regular season games as well as any and all post season contests. There will be a 30 minute pregame show and a 15 minute postgame show for each game, which the station will also carry. Phantoms Director of Media Relations/Radio Broadcaster Everett Fitzhugh will call all the action this season, beginning with the team's first game on September 27th against Team USA's Under-18 squad.

"The Phantoms are pleased that fans are once again able to hear our games and shows on Cumulus stations," remarked Phantoms co-owner Troy Loney. "The stability and audience that Cumulus brings to our organization is second-to-none in the Youngstown and surrounding area."

Additionally, the weekly coach's show, "Behind the Glass", returns for another year. Hosted by Fitzhugh and Phantoms Vice President of Operations Scott Brand, "Behind the Glass" airs every Wednesday evening from 6-7pm, and will feature insight and analysis from head coach Anthony Noreen, as well as various players throughout the season. The first "Behind the Glass" will air on September 10th.

Also per the agreement, Sports Radio 1240's "Youngstown Sports Live with Marc & Sean" will feature a weekly, in-season guest appearance from a Phantoms coach or player.

"Cumulus Media is excited about our continued partnership with the Phantoms," said Senior Account Manager for Cumulus Media Steve Toth. "We look forward to the upcoming season as we continue to provide an avenue of great entertainment for the valley's sports fans."
