
PGCBL All-Star Roster Released

The Rosters has been announced for the 2011 PGCBL All-Star game and 10 Pioneers were selected to play by the league
Named to the starting team for the West Division outfielders Coleman Barron (Cooperstown), Eric Gaylord (Watertown) and David Bishop (Elmira). The infielders will be Matt Vera (Newark), Kyle Attl (Newark), Justin Lamborn (Elmira), Randy Villa (Newark), with the designated hitter as Justin Lacy (Elmira). Behind the plate will be Larry Balkwill. Pitchers for the team will be Justin D'Amato (Newark), Dominic Ruscitti (Newark), Jordan Carter (Elmira), Carson Beauchaine (Newark), Rob Curran (Watertown), Wes McBride (Elmira), Mark Scott (Newark), Adam Krebs(Watertown), Parker Ray(Cooperstown) and Collin Blankenship (Cooperstown). The remaining players will be catcher Pat Hyde (Elmira), infielders Danny Nelson (Cooperstown) and Angel Rosa (Watertown), and outfielder Michael Bolling (Newark). Pioneers named to the starting line up but unavailable to play due to injury include Ryan Normoyle, Logan Uxa and Sal Pezzino.
The starting line up for the East Division outfielder Ricky Claudio (Glens Falls) , Andrew Deeds (Albany), and Cullen Wacker (Mohawk Valley). The infielders will be Josh Anderson (Amsterdam), Anthony Pisani (Glens Falls), Brandon Trinkwon (Albany), and Steve Anderson (Albany) with designated hitter David Olson (Glens Falls). Behind the plate for the team will be Dain McNabb (Albany). Pitching for the team will be Nick Gonzalez (Glens Falls), Derek Mazzio (Glens Falls), Mark Leiter (Amsterdam), Selby Brummett (Mohawk Valley), Steven Poche (Albany), Abram Williams (Amsterdam), Austin Chase (Albany), Tyler Kane (Mohawk Valley), and Willie Gabay (Mohawk Valley). The reserves players will be catcher Dan Klein (Glens Falls), infielders Zach Shank (Amsterdam) and Anthony Turgeon (Albany), and outfielders Kyle Ruchim (Glens Falls).
The Pioneers host the inaugural PGCBL All Star Game at Dunn Field on Monday, July 18th. Gates open at 5:05, and fans are invited to come early for the HR hitting contest beginning at 6:00.
A limited number of tickets are available for the Texas Roadhouse Picnic Buffet with featured speaker Tommy John who will sign autographs for picnic guests, a commemorative All-Star Game T-shirt, and a ticket to the August 3 game versus the Cooperstown Hawkeyes.
