Petkoff Returning to Cyclones for 2006-2007

Mark Richards, Pee Dee Cyclones' Head Coach and General Manager, has announced that forward Joel Petkoff has agreed to terms to return to the Cyclones for the upcoming 2006-2007 hockey season. Coach Richards is looking forward to Petkoff's return, "He's a third year player who came into his own last season. I am looking for him to pick up where he left off."

The 24 year-old Petkoff was one of the leading scorers for the Cyclones last season with a total of 44 points in 38 games played. He was named the SPHL Sher-wood Player of the Week on February 14, 2006.

The 6'-1", 190lb. Toronto, Ontario native came to the Cyclones via a trade last season with the SPHL's Jacksonville Barracudas.
