Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - The Peterborough Petes' annual Teddy Bear Toss night will take place this upcoming Thursday, December 6 when the Petes take on the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs at the Peterborough Memorial Centre at 7:05pm.

When the Petes score their first goal of the game, fans will be invited to throw their new stuffed toys, toques, or mittens onto the ice. At that time, volunteers from local minor hockey teams will help collect the toys from the ice, which will be counted and delivered by Winslow-Gerolamy Motors Limited to the Energy 99.7/Country 105 Miracle Toy Drive.

The game is sponsored by Country 105 who will be giving away an Ottawa Senators prize pack to a lucky fan in attendance.

The national anthem will be performed by students of R.F. Downey Public School.

Tickets are available through the Collins Barrow Box Office in person, over the phone at (705) 743-3561, and online. Peterborough's only other game this week takes place in Ottawa on Sunday, December 9 when they face new netminder Michael DiPietro and the 67's at 2:00pm.
