Arizona Sting News Release

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- The National Lacrosse League announced today that Arizona Sting defender Peter Lough will be serving as team captain on the West Division All-Star Team this weekend in Toronto. Lough's assistants on the team will be Colorado Mammoth forward Gavin Prout and Calgary Roughnecks forward Tracy Keluskey. The East Division will be led by team captain Jim Veltman (uncle of Arizona Sting defender Peter Veltman) and assistants John Tavares (Buffalo Bandits) and Steve Toll (Rochester Knighthawks). Lough is proud to serve as captain of the West Division's All-Stars.

"It's definitely a big honor just to be selected to this team, let alone being named the captain," said Lough. "In this game there will be leaders from all of the teams in the West, so I think the leadership will be a shared responsibility amongst the guys when we take on the East. It will definitely be a fun weekend."

Currently in his fifth professional season, Lough has been Arizona's captain since they relocated from Columbus, Ohio, in 2003. He began his career with the Montreal Express in 2002 and has registered 69GP-34G-42A-76P-481LB over the course of his career. Lough currently leads the Sting with 50 loose balls this season.

The Arizona Sting is a professional indoor lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Currently in their third season of existence, the Sting are the defending NLL West Division Champions. For more information, please call (480) 563-7825 or visit ArizonaSting.com.
