
Defensemen added to NLL All-Star lineup

Minnesota Swarm defenseman Darryl Gibson and Edmonton Rush defenseman Cam Bergman have been selected to the 2006 All-Star Game lineup to replace a pair of injured players. Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Marshall Abrams and Edmonton Rush defenseman Andrew Turner have each suffered injuries, forcing them out of Saturday's game. Gibson was selected to replace Abrams on the East Division All-Star Team and Bergman was selected to replace Rush teammate Andrew Turner on the West Division All-Star Team.
Arizona Sting defenseman Peter Lough will serve as captain of the West Division All-Stars, with Calgary Roughnecks' forward Tracey Kelusky and Colorado Mammoth forward Gavin Prout serving as alternate captains. For the East Division, Toronto Rock forward Jim Veltman will serve as captain, with Buffalo Bandits' forward John Tavares and Rochester Knighthawks' defenseman Steve Toll serving as alternate captains. The captains were chosen by the coaching staff of the respective East and West All-Star teams.
The 2006 NLL All-Star Game will take place at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on February 26 at 4 PM ET.
