
Penguins Open Training Camp On Tuesday, September 23

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release
WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will open training camp on Tuesday, September 23, with the first practice slated for 10:00am at the Ice Box in Pittston.
Players will report to Wilkes-Barre on Monday, September 22 for team meetings and physicals. All practices, aside from the Tuesday, September 23 on-ice practices, will take place at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza. A tentative schedule for the two week training camp follows.
The Penguins also announced their current training camp roster, which features 30 players (16 forwards, 12 defensemen and two goaltenders) as of Friday, September 19.
The Penguins first preseason game takes place on Friday, September 26 in Binghamton against the Senators, with a return game on Saturday, September 27 in Wilkes-Barre. The Pens' regular season gets underway on Wednesday, October 8 at home against the Hershey Bears.
