Pelicans Searching For Game Day Entertainment

Pensacola, FL - Have you ever wanted to work for a professional baseball team? You can be part of the action, bring smiles and enjoyment to thousands of people, and get paid to do it! The Pensacola Pelicans are hosting tryouts for the 2010 Man in the Stands and Public Address Announcer at the Pre-Season Extravaganza this Friday. The event will take place at Pelican Park at the University of West Florida from 5-8 p.m.

The Pre-Season Extravaganza is the kick-off to the 2010 season, marking the beginning of Spring Training. This is the first chance to meet the 2010 Pelican players. Players will be on hand throughout the evening for autographs and pictures. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets for the most popular games, including fireworks and giveaway nights. Individual tickets are available for $7-12.

Children ages 7-12 will have the opportunity to learn baseball fundamentals from the Pelican players and coaches. Registration for the free baseball clinic will begin at 5 p.m. The clinic will run from 6-7:30 p.m.

Other activities include National Anthem auditions, mascot tryouts, Kids Club registration and t-shirt pick-up, bat boy registration, and season ticket pick-up.

The Pelicans Home Opener is Friday, May 21 at 6:45 p.m. Ticket packages are still available and start as low as $54.
