Upcoming Home Games & Promotions --
January 12, 2007: Against the Knoxville Ice Bears. This will be also be 1st Annual Crazy Hat Night. Wear your craziest hat to the game and have a chance to win a prize from the Cyclones. It's also Youth Hockey Night, we will have the Pee Dee Youth Hockey representative on hand to answer any questions you may have. Game Time is 7:10PM.
January 13, 2007: Against the Florida Seals. This will be NASCAR Night sponsored by The Real Yellow Pages and the famous Weiner Dog Nationals Race. Wear your favorite NASCAR driver's apparel and come out to watch the Weiner Dogs go for victory. Game Time is 7:10PM at the Florence Civic Center.

January 5, 2007: Against the Jacksonville Barracudas. The Cyclones are 1-0-2 against the Barracudas losing both games in extra play but while grabbing a point in both games. Watch this game on www.thesphl.tv or on www.pennatlantic.com
January 6, 2007: Against the Florida Seals. The Clones are 1-2-0 against the Seals but looks to seek revenge for the loss at the Storm Center the prior Saturday. The former Cyclones Dan Pszenyczny and Scott English sure was welcomed with open arms as Clones Drew Madeiros had a fight with Pszenyczny and newly acquired Chris Kovalcik had some words with English. This game will not be on the webcast due to the Seals not partaking in the new SPHL web casting deal.
About Last Week ----
The Cyclones went 1-3-0 last week, winning Friday against the Seals at the Storm Center. Pee Dee played in Knoxville & Huntsville on Tuesday and Thursday, losing both games by the scores of 5-3 & 7-5. The Seals came to Florence and earned 3 points from of the Cyclones. The 'Clones won Friday's game in OT and lost Saturday's game 6-4.
Player on Fire
Geoff Rollins is on fire right now. In his last 5 games, Geoff has 6 goals, 5 assists for 11 points. He also scored the game winner in OT against the Seals on Friday night.
Allan Sirois has 4 goals, 6 assists for 10 points in the last 5 games.
Edan Welch scored 4 goals, 6 assists for 10 points also for the last 5 games.
Injured Reserved
Brian Boike had an upper body injury in Huntsville and will get tested this week and we will know more at the end of the test.
Jeff Marler sat out the week-end with an injury but will return to the line-up soon.
New Arrivals
Cowboy Returns..... Chris Kovalcik returns to the Cyclones after winning a championship with the Knoxville IceBears last season. Knoxville waived Chris last week and Florida picked up his rights on the waiver wire and traded them to the Cyclones. Welcome Back Chris.
The Pee Dee Cyclones welcome Matt Hatch to their Front Office. Hatch, a native of Pennsylvania, has worked in the sports industry for the past six years. He will join the Cyclones as the new Assistant General Manager. Hatch has worked with the Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League (CHL) for the past four years where he was involved with corporate sales and development, facility liaisons, and countless other responsibilities. This will not be Hatch's first visit to South Carolina, as he once worked with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball team. "We felt that we needed someone with a deep background in sales in our Front Office. Matt has had great success with Memphis and we are looking forward to having him join our Team," commented Mark Richards, General Manager and Head Coach of the Cyclones. Hatch received his Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management from Pennsylvania State University. Hatch's first day with the Cyclones will be January 2, 2006
