
Pee Dee Cyclones open Inaugural Season on Friday

The Pee Dee Cyclones of the Southern Professional Hockey League will open their inaugural 2005-06 hockey season this week, on the road, with back to back games in scenic Fayetteville, North Carolina taking on the Fayetteville FireAntz. Both games will be played at the Crown Coliseum and kick-off the season long I-95 Challenge Cup between the two SPHL teams.
The Cyclones have two days remaining in their training camp. Head Coach Mark Richards must trim down to his opening day roster by 3:00PM eastern on Thursday, October 20th.
The Pee Dee Cyclones remaining training schedule is listed below:
Wednesday 10/19: 10:30AM-12:30PM (Florence Civic Center)
Thursday 10/20: 12:30PM-2:00PM (In Columbia, SC)
Friday 10/21: Opening Game at Fayetteville, NC vs. FireAntz (7:30PM)
Saturday 10/22: Second Game at Fayetteville, NC vs. FireAntz (7:30PM)
The Cyclones open the 2005-06 SPHL season on October 21st and the Home Opening Weekend at the Florence Civic Center is Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th. On Friday, October 28th the world famous "Zooperstars" will perform and the first 2500 in attendance will receive free magnetic schedules sponsored by SCE&G. On Saturday, October 29th their will be a Halloween Costume Contest and the first 2500 fans will receive free Cyclones pennants. And a post-game "Skate with the Cyclones" will take place following the game. Season tickets for the Pee Dee Cyclones 2005-06 inaugural season at the Florence Civic Center are on sale at the Cyclones office or by calling 843-432-1234.
