Pearson Named to OHL All-Star Team

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that forward Tanner Pearson has been named to the OHL's second All Star team.

Pearson finished third in league scoring with 37 goals and 54 assists for 91 points in 60 games played for the Colts.

The 19 year-old forward represented Team Canada at the World Juniors, played for Team OHL in both legs of the Subway Super Series and played in the Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

Ottawa's Sean Monahan and London's Seth Griffith join Pearson on the second team, with defencemen Ryan Murphy of the Rangers, Cody Ceci of the 67's and goalie Mark Visentin of the IceDogs.

The Kitchener native has not been drafted to the NHL and currently ranks 25th among North American skaters in the NHL Central Scouting's final rankings for the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
