July 13, 2007 - South Coast League (SCL)
South Georgia Peanuts News Release
The South Georgia Peanuts, presented by Security Bank, have suspended tonight's (Friday) contest with the Macon Music. After a one hour delay, the tarp came off the field and two Batters came to the plate in the top of the first before the tarp was put back on the field.
The game will be resumed as part of a double-header when the Music return to Albany in August. The teams will play two games on Friday August 24. The first contest will be the continuation of this game and nine innings will be played. The second game will be seven innings.
The two teams will wrap up the three game series on Saturday with a special 4:10 start. First pitch was moved up three hours in order to allow fans to attend both the Peanuts game in addition to the South Georgia Wildcats game that will be played later in the evening.
