
PCL Names Players of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Pacific Coast League today announced Joe Inglett of the Las Vegas 51s the PCL Player of the Week and Brandon Hynick of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox the PCL Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 29-July 5.
Hynick threw a seven-inning perfect game against the Portland Beavers last Tuesday night in Colorado Springs. The Ohio native struck out six batters and induced six fly outs and nine ground outs in the 2-0 Sky Sox victory. Prior to Hynick's, the last perfect game in the PCL was in 2007 by Manny Parra of the Nashville Sounds against the Round Rock Express. Hynick is in his first year with the Sky Sox and his fourth season overall in professional baseball after being drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the eighth round of the 2006 MLB draft out of Birmingham-Southern College. The right-hander is 7-5 with a 3.50 ERA in 15 starts this season.
Inglett, a native of Sacramento, California is hitting .364 with one home run and ten RBI this season for the 51s in 19 games.
The 2009 Cricket Wireless Triple-A All-Star Game will be celebrating its 22nd year this season, featuring the top players from Minor League Baseball's top two leagues and will be broadcast to a national television audience live from Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday, July 15, on ESPN2 at 7:00 PDT (10:00 EDT).
