Albany, NY (October 23, 2007) - The Albany Patroons welcome 6'3, guard, Pierre Wooten.
Pierre, a 2003 graduate of Winthrop University, completed his career with several awards and achievements, such as the Big South Conference Tournament Winner (2001), the All-Big South Conference 1st Team (2003), the Big South Conference All-Academic Team (2003), and the Big South Conference Scholar-Athlete (2003).
Pierre's overall game progressed each year as he averaged 8.5 ppg. and 3.3 rpg. as a sophmore, 9.3 ppg., 2.7 rpg., and 3.7 apg. as a junior, and 13.1 ppg., 3.9rpg., and 3.7 apg. as a senior. Shortly after graduation, Pierre attended the Denver Nuggets 2003 Rookie/Free Agent Camp.
His next stints included playing overseas, the Charlotte Bobcats (NBA) Free Agent Camp/ Rookie-Free Agent Minicamp, the 2005 Cleveland Majic (WBA), and the ACMT Camp in Columbus, Ohio. Pierre then played in France where he was Eurobasket.com All-French ProB 1st Team (2006) and Eurobasket.com French ProB All-Imports Team (2006).
Prior to signing with the Albany Patroons, Pierre attended the HSM International Exposure Camp in Las Vegas, Nevada (July 2007).
