
Patroons Gain the Sweep

Albany, NY (March 2, 2007) - The Albany Patroons completed a sweep of their two game series against the Indiana Alley Cats tonight, 114-100. The Alley Cats picked up only one quarter point for the second game in a row.
Albany nipped Indiana in the first quarter 28-26. They followed that up with a victory in the second quarter to give them a 62-45 lead at the half. The Alley Cats fought back in the third quarter and were able to cut the lead to 10 entering the final quarter of play. The Patroons persevered in the fourth and went on to win the game.
Fountain was the Alley Cats' leading scorer for the second straight game. He finished with a game-high 36 points, including a perfect 15 for 15 from the free throw line, to go along with his 8 assists. Newly acquired Josh Murray had 25 points in his first game with the Alley Cats. Chandler Thompson added 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. With the exception of Fountain, Indiana struggled from the free throw line, shooting only 42%.
Jamario Moon led six Albany players in double figures with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Carl Mitchell tallied 19 points, while Kwan Johnson contributed 18. Kareem Reid had a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists. Gordon Klaiber finished with 14 points and 5 rebounds. The story of the game came at the free throw line, where Albany outscored Indiana by 12.
