Albany, N.Y. -- The Albany Patroons newest addition is 6'4" G Chester Mason. Chester, named Mr. Basketball Player of the Year by the Associated Press and Ohio's Player of the Year by the USA Today in High School (Cleveland South) later became Miami University of Ohio's "quickest player and one of the two best athletes". Chester has played in every game during his Miami career, starting all but one game. While scoring over 1,000 points in his college career, he was one of the nation's top rebounder among guards, ranked in the top ten on the school's all-time steal list, received Honorable Mention All-MAC in 2004 and was ranked second nationally among guards in rpg (7.9) in 2003-2004. "Chet" Mason continued his basketball success with the ABA's Cleveland Rockers. Chester, #23, will be playing in today's game at Michigan.
