FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Patriots get their first four-game winning streak of the season and their fourth home victory in a row by defeating the Huntsville Flight, 90-88, on Saturday at the Crown Coliseum. David Young led Fayetteville with 16 points. Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje complimented the win with his second straight double-double, with 10 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots.

There were six lead changes and 11 ties throughout the game. The Patriots grabbed a lead as big as 18 points within the second quarter, but the Flight came back for a brutal battle in the fourth. With less than seven minutes on the clock, Huntsville tied the score for the first time in the second half. The Flight then took the lead with five minutes remaining in the game. The struggle for the lead continued and the Patriots managed to lose a seven point lead with less than a minute on the clock.

Earl Barron, who finished with 13 points and six rebounds, brought the game within one after making two free throws. Mike King held on to Fayetteville's lead by making one of his two free throws, which gave the Patriots the final score of 90-88.

Huntsville was led by Cedric Henderson with 16 points. The Flight had three other players in double figures, including Rodney Bias's double-double with 15 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. Damone Brown had 14 points and seven rebounds.

Along with Young and Boumtje-Boumtje, four other Patriots were in double figures. Tang Hamilton and Jon Smith both had 14 points while Mike King and Ousmane Cisse had 13 and 11 points, respectively. Cisse also had seven rebounds and two blocked shots, while Omar Cook provided eight assists for the Patriots.

Huntsville shot 49.3 percent from the field while Fayetteville only shot 42.7 percent. The Patriots only had eight turnovers compared to the Flight's 16, which helped them with their victory.

The Patriots (13-23) have a few days off until they meet Columbus (22-11) on Saturday, March 12 at the Crown Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m. For more information, log onto nbdl.com.
