Fayetteville Patriots News Release
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. â Fayetteville Patriots forward Tang Hamilton led all players with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Flight Friday night at the Crown Coliseum. The Patriots led by two at the end of the first and were tied at 43 at the half, but 4 turnovers in the first 3 minutes of play in the third quarter let the Flight soar past the Patriots and give them a 90-83 victory.
At the start of the fourth, the Patriots were only down by five and that's when Fayetteville's Hamilton turned it on, scoring eight points in the last quarter. But Huntsville's Jason Miskiri answered with six of his own, ending the night with 14 total points.
The Flight had five players in double figures, with Bernard King leading with 20. Earl Barron had 15 points, Miskiri and Damone Brown each added in 14, and Joe Shipp had 12. Mengke Bateer, who was the leading rebounder for Hunstville, grabbed just 5 boards.
Only two other players were in double figures for the Patriots besides Hamilton. Ernest Brown had 18, along with five rebounds, and David Young gave 14 to the hometown team's scoreboard.
The Patriots (1-10) return to action tomorrow Saturday, December 18th in at the Crown Coliseum to take on the Flight (6-3) again. Game time is 7:30pm. For more information, log onto nbdl.com.
