Boumtje Boumtje Back in Fayetteville

GREENVILLE, S.C., December 17 – Post player Ruben Boumtje Boumtje is returning to the Fayetteville Patriots roster after missing the last eight games rehabilitating an injury, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Fayetteville head coach Mike Brown. The Patriots also waived swingman Chris Brooks.

Boumtje Boumtje, the Patriots first selection (third overall) in the 2004 NBDL Draft, averaged 2.0 points and 4.0 rebounds before getting injured in the second game of the season. Brooks played in all 10 games for Fayetteville, averaging 19.2 minutes, 9.0 points and 1.8 rebounds.

Boumtje Boumtje is expected to be in uniform tonight when the Patriots host the Huntsville Flight at the Crown Coliseum. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
