
Patriots acquire Nick Billings

GREENVILLE, S.C., November 22 - The Fayetteville Patriots have acquired center Nick Billings, who fills the roster spot created when Nigel Dixon left the team.
A 7-0, 255-pound product of Binghamton, Billings was taken in the fifth round (37th overall) of the 2005 D-League Draft by the Roanoke Dazzle. He finished his collegiate career as the all-time leading shot blocker in America East Conference history. In 107 games, Billings averaged 8.1 points and 5.6 rebounds.
Billings is expected to report to the Patriots in time to accompany the team to Texas for Friday's matchup at Fort Worth. He will wear jersey #50.
