
Florida acquires Nichols

GREENVILLE, S.C., November 22 - The Florida Flame has acquired guard Austin Nichols from the NBA Development League available player pool and released forward Romel Beck.
A veteran D-League player, Nichols was waived by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds on November 11. Nichols, 6-6 and 195, played in 48 games for Huntsville (now Albuquerque) last season, averaging 23.3 minutes, 10.3 points and 2.5 rebounds.
Nichols is expected to be in uniform when the Flame opens the 2005-06 season by playing host to the Roanoke Dazzle Friday at Germain Arena.
