Spokane Shock News Release

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today former DL Devon Parks has signed an AFL contract to join the Orlando Predators.

Parks, who joined the Shock in early June, currently holds the franchise record for sacks in a season (6), despite playing in only eight games. Additionally, Parks contributed 21 total tackles during the regular season and was selected to the 2nd Team All af2 American Conference Team.

"Devon proved to be a very effective edge rusher last season," said Predators Assistant Head Coach Les Moss. "He adds depth to our defensive end group."

"Parks is a special player - he came in here and made an immediate impact," Shock Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "In fact, he recorded a sack on his first play at the line of scrimmage and received Defensive Player of the Game that week."

Parks is the sixth player from the Shock's 2007 Western Division Championship roster to sign an AFL contract.
