Pappas Wins Second Straight Player-Of-The-Week Award

Philadelphia, PA, November 28, 2007 - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that Peter Pappas has won the Player-of-the-Week award for the seven-day period ending November 25. Pappas has won the award for the second consecutive week after the KiXX second win of the season. The honor is the 27th received by Pappas over his 12-year career.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Pappas anchored the KiXX defense in successfully defeating California 14-6, allowing just three two-point goals, a season low. The Philadelphia University graduate stopped 12 of the 15 shots he faced following a 15-13 win against Monterrey at the Wachovia Spectrum on November 17. With Pappas in goal, the KiXX currently yield a 12.0 points per game against average, third in the MISL. The seven-time All-Star and eight-time All-League selection ranks first among all MISL netminders in several categories including minutes played (291), shots faced (110), and saves (88). The reigning Goalkeeper-of-the-Year ranks third with a 10.08 points against average.
The Philadelphia KiXX will host the California Cougars on Friday, November 30 at 7:05pm ET for Dance Team Calendar Night. The first 2,000 fans will receive a 2008-09 Dance Team Calendar. The team will then play back-to-back games the following weekend, with a road game in Milwaukee on Friday, December 7 at 8:00pm and a home game against the Chicago Storm on Saturday, December 8 at 7:05pm ET. The KiXX December 7 match will be televised on Fox Soccer Channel, and the December 8 match at the Wachovia Spectrum is Christian Night, featuring youth speaker Reggie Dabbs.

Season ticket holders will receive replica championship rings, as well as invitations to KiXX events like the Meet the Team Party and Meet the Team Luncheon.
