Crystal Palace Baltimore News Release

Baltimore, Md. - Crystal Palace Baltimore (6-15-6) welcome the Carolina RailHawks (10-9-8) to the Paul Angelo Russo Stadium on Saturday, September 18 at 5 p.m. for the last time this season. This will be a matter of pride for Baltimore who were eliminated from the playoffs last night with the Minnesota Stars 1-0 victory over Carolina.

Saturday is BOGO night at the Paul Angelo Russo Stadium. Fans can buy one ticket at regular price ($15) and get the second one free. Tickets are available by calling 410.933.TEAM or they can be purchased at the gate.

This is last installment of the NASL Conference rivalry, with the series at 1-1-1. Palace Baltimore lost their most recent matchup against the RailHawks 3-0 at WakeMed Park, but all the meetings between the two teams this season have been quality contests, boasting bizarre own goals, nail-biting last minute saves and inexplicable penalty decisions.

Although Carolina lost their most recent game on the road, their exemplary away record (6-3-4) is something to be respected. It is something that Palace Baltimore Head Coach, Jim Cherneski will no doubt be aware of when he fields a team that has lost its last five games and has now been hamstrung by a spate of late-season injuries.

"We don't have many players available due to the number of injuries on the team," said Cherneski. "But we are not going to point to any excuses and we are looking to come away with all three points."

Palace Baltimore's next game against the Portland Timbers on September 25 at the Paul Angelo Russo Stadium is the last game of their home stand and the penultimate matchup of the 2010 USSF D-2 Pro League season.
