
Pair of Defensive Backs Returning to Storm

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) has re-signed defensive backs Trice Crump and Brian McIntire for the 2008 season. Crump has been a starter for the last four seasons and ranks sixth on the Storm's all-time interceptions list with 10. McIntire has been in a reserve role for two seasons, but will compete for the starting Safety spot this season.
Crump is entering his fifth season for the Storm and has started ever since joining the team. In 2007, Crump was third on the team in tackles with 64. He also recorded three interceptions. Crump also finished third on the team in tackles in 2006 with 69.5. He tallied 66.5 tackles during 2005 and finished second on the team in tackles in United Bowl I with 6.5. Crump ended his first season with the Storm in 2004 with 60 tackles and three interceptions.
Prior to joining the Storm, Crump spent three seasons with the Sioux City Bandits. Crump totaled 128 tackles and eight interceptions during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. Trice played in only three games for the Bandits in 2001 and recorded nine tackles and one interception. Crump spent the 2000 season for the indoor team in Madison, WI. Before starting his indoor career, Crump played his college ball at Pittsburg State in Kansas from 1996 to 1999.
McIntire is entering his third season playing in the UIF, all with the Storm. Last season, McIntire finished with 29 tackles and 0.5 sacks. In two seasons with the Storm, he has 64 total tackles to go along with two interceptions. McIntire finished his rookie year with the Storm in 2006 with 30.5 total tackles, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery.
A 2004 NCAA Division III All-American, McIntire led Wartburg College to three consecutive Iowa Conference Championships from 2002-2004. He led the Knights in tackles with 88 in 2003 followed by 75 in 2004. The Clear Lake, IA native also compiled six interceptions and five sacks during his final two seasons at Wartburg.
