
Padres tryout camp rained out and rescheduled

Mobile, Ala. â The San Diego Padres tryout was rained out Saturday June 28th. The tryout has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 10th at 10:00am with registration beginning at 9:00. The camp will held at Hank Aaron Stadium.
All interested players ages 16 and older with no professional experience are invited to attend. The Padres will supply the baseballs and helmets only. Players must supply all other playing equipment, including wooden bats. No aluminum bats will be allowed for use.
American Legion players are required to bring a letter of permission form their coach or the commander of the Legion post they represent. Players, high school or college, enrolled in summer classes need no permission slips.
Any player signed to a professional contract at the camp will become a member of the San Diego Padres organization and will be assigned to one of the Padres' minor league affiliates.
