Corpus Christi Sharks News Release

Sharks Vice President & General Manager Larry Linde announced today that the Arena Football League franchise will be hosting its 2nd Annual Caller-Times "Pack the House for Charity" Night presented by AT&T this Sunday, July 20th at 3:05 PM.

Caller-Times "Pack the House for Charity" Night presented by AT&T is an annual event designed to raise funds and awareness for local organizations committed to the youth of our community. Working with these organizations, the Sharks want to pack Radiology Associates Field @ the American Bank Center for the final regular season home game of the season Sunday vs. Texas (Houston) Copperheads. This year we recognize the South Padre Youth Football League and Corpus Christi Housing & Community Services.

The South Padre Youth Football League is the local chapter of South Texas Pop Warner football. Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer/dance programs for participants in 41 states and several countries around the world. South Padre Youth Football League plays all of their home games at Bill Witt Fields on the city's Southside.

Corpus Christi Housing & Community Services offers a wide range of social services and programs to families throughout Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend. With seven locations in Nueces County, CCH&CS preserves affordable housing for families in need, promotes strong and safe resident communities, and creates an atmosphere to maintain and encourage self-sufficiency for residents.

As part of "Pack the House for Charity" Night these two groups are helping to sell tickets for Sunday's game and, in return, the Sharks are rewarding each group with a cash grant as well as a portion of each ticket sold. It is important to note that ALL of the money generated by this event will remain right here in our Coastal Bend community! Through the generosity of our corporate partners, additional tickets for the game have been donated to other youth based organizations in the community.

Festivities begin at 1:00pm with a FREE tailgate party. Doors to the arena will open at 2:00pm with kick-off set for 3:05pm. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Sharks team photo compliments of the Caller-Times with an autograph session following the game.

Tickets for Sunday's game are available at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com, the American Bank Center box office or by calling (361) 881-8499. Tickets for the game are available for as low as $11. For more information or to inquire about discounted group rates call the Sharks Office at (361) 882-9292 or visit www.ccsharks.com
