Princeton WhistlePigs News Release
The Princeton Devil Rays were defeated tonight by the Danville Braves to complete the series sweep for the Braves.
The Braves scored fifteen runs for the second straight game. The scoring was aided by five fielding blunders by the Rays. The Devil Rays scored one in the second to make it 3-1. They added another run in the fourth to bring the score to 5-2.
Christian Lopez hit a two-run blast in the sixth, but it was not enough being the Braves brought in six in the top of the inning. Princeton also plated a final run in the ninth. The Devil Rays have an off day tomorrow and will travel to Danville to face these same Braves in another three game series.
