The Princeton Devil Rays lost the series opener of a three game series this afternoon to the Burlington Indians. The Indians struck first in the first with two quick runs. The Devil Rays came right back in the bottom of the inning cutting the lead in half making it 2-1. Brandon Rousseve led off the inning with a triple and came home on a single by Reid Brignac. Burlington got the run back in the third before opening the game up with eight runs in the fifth. The Rays also put some runs on the board in the fifth. They got one when Rousseve singled in Tom Lagreid, who had walked to start the inning. A second run was added when Brignac came through with his second RBI single that allowed Blair Irvin to cross the plate. Irvin had a single in the inning. The two teams will play again in Princeton tomorrow night.
