
over 140 Team Representatives Attend ECHL Meetings

PRINCETON, N.J. - More than 140 representatives from ECHL teams, including several owners, presidents and general managers, attended the 17th Annual Sales, Marketing and Communications Meetings at The Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 21-22, 2012.
Keynote speakers were Brian Jennings, Executive Vice President of Marketing for the National Hockey League, who spoke on Strategies for Fan Activation, and Mark Norman of The Next Level, who spoke on engaging client relationships, while ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna provided his annual "State of the ECHL" address.
Kyle Hanlin, Manager of Media Relations/Broadcast Coordinator for the Carolina Hurricanes spoke on capturing your local media and getting exposure in crowded markets while Mike Lappan, Director of Public and Media Relations for the Charlotte Checkers, spoke on social media and community relations.
Wes England and Mackie Feierstein of the Florida Panthers presented ticket sales strategies for season and group ticket sales, and also presided over a practical session on ticket sales.
Mike Keeler of quickSilver spoke on what sponsors are looking for in sports and on marketing campaigns to entice fans while Chris Fair of NewSport Media, presented a session on mobile apps and new digital content.
ECHL Vice President of Business Operations Ryan Crelin outlined the League's marketing campaign for the 25th Anniversary season in 2012-13, which was kicked off by an appearance from the Zooperstars .
For the eighth year in a row, AMI Graphics, the "Exclusive Signage Company of the ECHL", awarded a complete set of dasher board and under-ice graphics to an attending team, which was won by the Florida Everblades for the 2012-13 season.
The annual vendor's showcase, which highlighted 21 companies, provided an opportunity for teams to view products from League vendors and licensees. Match-Up Promotions and SP Apparel sponsored the food and beverage breaks and the Zooperstars and America One sponsored lunch during the event.
The week also included the third annual ECHL Career Fair, presented by TeamWork Online . Over 30 candidates from across the country, along with 10 ECHL teams and the American Hockey League's Manchester Monarchs, attended the fair.
