Ouzas Traded to Mississauga

TORONTO, ON – The Toronto St. Michael's Majors have traded goaltender Michael Ouzas to the Mississauga IceDogs for a future 5th round draft choice. The trade became official this afternoon and Ouzas will join the IceDogs tomorrow.

The Hamilton native participated in 19 regular season games during the 2003-04 campaign, compiling a 8-7-1 record, 2.91 goals-against-average and 0.901 save percentage in the process. He did not compete in any of the Majors 2004 playoff contests or any games yet this season.

Ouzas was acquired on September 15th, 2003 from the Barrie Colts in exchange for a draft pick. He was originally selected by the Colts in the 3rd Round of the 2001 OHL Priority Selection. During the 2002-03 season, as an OHL rookie, he compiled a 0-3-2 record that included a 3.19 goals-against-average and 0.887 save percentage.

The Majors record now sits at 2-0-2-1 and their next home game will be this Friday, October 8th, versus the Belleville Bulls, at 7:30 pm.
