Donati named OHL Player of the Week

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Oshawa Generals right winger Tyler Donati is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday October 3 after scoring four goals and eight points in three games.

Donati, a 17-year-old native of Oakville, started the week with a goal and an assist in a 5-4 loss to the Peterborough Petes on September 30. He scored two goals - including the winner in overtime - and two assists in a 5-4 win over the Toronto St. Michael's Majors on October 1. He scored his second straight game-winning goal and added an assist in a 4-3 victory over the Brampton Battalion on October 3.

Donati has five goals and nine points in five games this season and trails Corey Perry of the London Knights by one point in the OHL scoring race. Donati scored 20 goals and 56 points in 65 games as a rookie with the Generals last season.
