Series: After the Bees tok the opening game of the doubleheader Friday night, the Bluefish have come back to win the next two. The two teams next play each other in early July.
Bees Home Tickets: Available at the New Britain Stadium Box Office | Call 860-826-BEES
The Bees: Josh Outman is coming off his second longest outing of the season, tossing 6.2 innings and allowing three runs in the Bees' win over Somerset. The left-handers lone win of the season came at home against Bridgeport on May 14 (six innings, two runs, four strikeouts).
The Opposition: Bridgeport first baseman Jose Cuevas has been one of the major catalysts behind the two straight wins the Bluefish have in this four-game series. In the two victories, Cuevas went 4-7 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a walk-off home run on Saturday night.
Starters
New Britain- LHP Josh Outman (1-2, 3.97) | Bridgeport- RHP D.J. Mitchell (0-1, 3.00)
Key to the Game - Plug the leaks: The Bees' bullpen has been shaky in the last two games against the Bluefish, allowing a combined four runs on five hits in 6.1 innings and getting tagged with both losses. To salvage the final game of the series and earn a split in Bridgeport, the Bees' bullpen, if called upon, will need to tighten up the loose ends and finally quiet the bats of Bridgeport.
