After Friday's nail bitter, Coach Dave Boitz made a few adjustments to the line-up, and his team shook off the rust of a two week lay-off to show the Jets what Outlaws hockey is all about. North Iowa and the Jets played a tight contest until the third when the Outlaws exploded for three unanswered led by multipoint performances from Shea Walters and Max Mobley. Robby Moss was again the "Boss" in goal, stopping numerous 2-0 and rebounds in front, picking up his 12th win of the season.
Under a minute into the period the Outlaws struck as Max Mobley took a pass from Shea Walters and beat Joe Dawson for a 1-0 lead. Jon Crouse added the assist on the goal. Eight minutes later, North Iowa found the net again as AJ Knapp moved the puck towards the net and Krystian Dzuibinski found his stick in the right area as the shot redirected into the net to give North Iowa a 2-0 lead. The Jets Roman Krivida would put the Jets on the scoreboard to finish the first period only down a goal.
After a scoreless second period, the third period was set to be another barnburner, but the Outlaws thought different. Three unanswered goals put the game away. Shaw Walters scored 1:22 into the third on a one-timer from Max Mobley. Minutes later the roles reversed as Mobley tallied his second on a pass from Walters. Finishing the scoring was Alex Carlson, who had hours to take a shot after Walters dug the puck out of the corner and fed him in front wide open for the goal. Carlson took his time and put the puck upstairs for the final goal of the game.
In net, Robby Moss again was the "X-Factor" as he stopped almost everything the Jets had to offer, including several odd man rushes and rebounds in front, totaling 31-of-32 saves on the evening. Robby picked up his fifth consecutive win, fourth straight against the Jets as North Iowa holds the 4-0 series lead heading home next weekend on Friday and Saturday night at the North Iowa Ice Arena against the Jets.
