Outlaws To Stream Video/Audio Feed During Games

(Chico, CA. May 27th, 2010) Fans attending Chico Outlaws games in 2010 will now be able to stay connected even while at Nettleton Stadium in Chico. With several technological upgrades in place, the ballpark experience this year at the "Nett" will become high tech, all designed to increase fan participation throughout the 2010 Golden Baseball League season.
This season Outlaws baseball will be more accessible to fans than ever as live video streaming of all 45 Outlaws home games, starting this Friday May 28th, will be streamed over the world wide web on internet TV channel Justin.TV (http://www.justin.tv/chicooutlawsbaseball). The video stream will have the play by play audio linked in to the broadcast to give viewers the full viewing experience. Viewers can even chat live over the Justin TV channel link to comment about the game while it is in-progress. Justin TV is also available on the IPhone and IPad from Apple, just download the application, allowing viewers to take the game anywhere they want with the touch of a screen. Twitter accounts can also be linked.
Fans from around the country, not to mention internationally, who want to watch the "Knuckle Princess" Eri Yoshida make history in her first start this coming Saturday May 29th on "Girl Power Night" presented by Habitat Women Build at 7:05 pm will now be able to do just that courtesy of the Outlaws JustinTV channel. Additionally, the team will take JustinTV out on the road for select games, which will be announced at a later date.
Live play by play audio only feed will also be streamed over the internet through VistaNet.com, with the audio link posted on the Outlaws web page at www.chicooutlaws.com. Another new initiative for the 2010 season includes broadcasting the internet audio feed in FM frequency inside the "Nett". Fans can bring their headset radios to the "Nett" and listen to all the action down on the field on 107.3 FM inside the ballpark. With FM receivers located throughout the park at all concession stands and restrooms, fans will not miss a minute of action on the field while away from their seats.
Dan Hawkins, Director of Media Relations and "Voice of the Outlaws", will provide the play-by-play across the entire spectrum of Outlaws media technology.
Free Wi-Fi access will also be available at the "Nett". Fans will be able to connect and comment about Outlaws baseball on "Foursquare", a social-networking site where fans can interact with one another by leaving comments about the game or view other user's comments and observations about Outlaws baseball throughout the season. This forum will allow the team and fans to interact in real time on things such as promotions, concessions, merchandise and other ballpark events. "Foursquare" can be linked to your Twitter and/or Facebook accounts and even done via text messaging on your cell phone. Fans can sign up for "Foursquare" at www.foursquare.com. Updates will also be posted to the Outlaws Facebook and Twitter accounts.
"Outlaws fans will now be able stay up to date and interactive even while sitting in their seat at the park, out and about on their cell phones or at home on their computer", says Hawkins. "Having live video and audio streaming of all our games will be especially nice for our fans who either can't make it to the game or don't live in the local area. Not to mention there is nothing better than bringing your headset radio to the park and listening to the game unfold right in front of your eyes."
According to Mike Marshall, President/General Manager for the Outlaws, "Our intent is to bring the fans Outlaws baseball 24/7. All of our technology upgrades are designed with that in mind. The bottom line is to make the game day experience second to none for all of our loyal fans."
The Outlaws home opener will be Friday, May 28th against the Tijuana Cimarrones at 6:35 pm at Nettleton Stadium on Fireworks Night presented by Enloe Medical Center in the Salute to the 25th Anniversary of Enloe Flight Care.
