Flyers, Seals Series Begins Today In Wake Of Boone's Resignation

VICTORIA, British Columbia -- The Orange County Flyers make their only visit of the season to Vancouver Island to take on the Victoria Seals at Royal Athletic Park in a four-game series beginning today. The Flyers (4-0) are coming off a season-opening sweep over the St. George RoadRunners during which time the team averaged more than 12 runs per game.

The series against the Victoria Seals (3-2) will feature both teams' aces on the mound in the Thursday series opener. Orange County will send Matt Durkin, the GBL's 2009 Pitcher of the Year and a former 2nd round draft pick of the New York Mets, to face a three-year MLB veteran Jason Kershner for Victoria. Thursday's first pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm Pacific, and all Flyers games can be heard live online via Live365.
