
Outlaws Earn Second Straight Win Behind DiLorenzo

WILLIAMSPORT, PA - After a tough road trip, Outlaws goaltender Mike DiLorenzo has picked up two straight wins in his last two starts heading into the Christmas break as the Outlaws topped the New York Bluefins 11-2 at Airmen Pond at Historic Bowman Field Saturday afternoon.
The Outlaws didn't waste any time getting on the board this afternoon as Anthony Battaglia found the twine 18 seconds into the contest. Williamsport would score three more times in the period. Jamie Zaleski would beat Brent Troyan at the6:56 mark to make it 2-0. Matt Smyth would make it 3-0 at the 10:23 mark and Brett Needham would make it 4-0 entering the 1st intermission with his goal at the 14:10 mark.
Smyth would start the scoring for the Outlaws in the second period with his power play goal at the 2:07 mark. Trevor Karasiewicz would make it 6-0 at the 6:23 mark. Jamie Zaleski scored his second goal of the game at the 7:55 mark of the period to make it 7-0.
New York would get on the board in the period with a goal from Michael Guerra at the 12:35 mark of the period to make it a 7-1 Bluefins deficit.
Jeff Winchester would then make it 8-1 in favor of the Outlaws on a beautiful tic-tac-toe play from Zaleski and Van Den Beld at the 19:35 mark of the period.
Williamsport held back much of the second period and in the third period but still found the twine against replacement goalie Alex Wyse.
Smyth scored his third goal of the game quickly in the third period at the 1:07 mark of the period to make it 9-1 Outlaws. Matt Puntureri would chip in a goal at the 2:28 mark on a play in which he wasn't trying to score, but made it 10-1 Williamsport. Smyth would score his fourth goal of the game at the 5:24 mark of the period to give the Outlaws their 11th goal.
Angelo Asaro would score on DiLorenzo at the 15:07 mark to make it 11-2.
DiLorenzo made 40 saves on 42 shots in the win, while Brent Troyan allowed eight goals on 32 shots and Alex Wyse allowed 3 goals on 13 shots faced.
