Outlaws Announce Free-Agent Tryout Camp

WAYNE, N.J. - New Jersey, New Jersey Outlaws Team President Chris Firriolo announced the official dates for the team's Free Agent Tryout Camp Tuesday.

The two-day event will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, running through to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.7 at the Capital One Ice Vault.

 

The Tryout Camp will be highlighted by Wednesday's all day event which will feature the First Annual New Jersey Outlaws Prospect All-Star Game at 4:30 p.m. 

 

Following the team's tryout camp in September, the Outlaws will hold a 10-day invitation only training camp beginning October 16 to make up the final Opening Night roster. In addition, selected players from the Outlaws Tryout Camp will be invited to the Outlaws' ECHL (AA) affiliate's training camp.

 

Players are being directed to the team Web site at www.newjerseyoutlaws.com. There they will find a tryout registration form which they can E-mail or mail back to the team to register. Player candidates must be 20 years or older to compete. 

 

The New Jersey Outlaws season in the Federal Hockey League gets underway this October.  Last season, prior to his arrival to the Outlaws, while with the Danbury Whalers, Team President Chris Firriolo led the Federal Hockey League with call-ups, promoting 12 of his players to the AHL (AAA) & ECHL (AA).
