Otters Announce Otterbelle Coaches and Tryout Date

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - In preparation for the upcoming season, the Evansville Otters have announced the 2018 Otterbelle coaching staff and tryout date.
Evansville natives Lyndsey Morrison (Coach) and Paige Mooney (Assistant Coach) will be leading the Otters' on-field promotional team for the 2018 season at Bosse Field.
Morrison and Mooney are returning Otterbelles from previous seasons with extensive dance backgrounds, including many years of dance training at local studio "Shannon's School of Dance."
Morrison trained with Shannon's for 16 years, where she now works as receptionist and assists in creating choreography. She performed in many of North High School's musicals and two EVSC summer musicals. She was also a member of North's show choir.
"I'm looking forward to keeping the dance performances going this year," said Morrison. "It changes the atmosphere and adds to the entertainment of our fans!"
Mooney trained at Shannon's for 10 years and is currently one of their instructors. She was a member of Central High School's "Honeybears" dance team for three years. Mooney also performed in numerous musicals and was in Central's show choir group.
"I'm excited to bring together a great team of Otterbelles that will create a positive and fun atmosphere for everyone at the ballpark," said Mooney.
The Evansville Otters will conduct Otterbelle tryouts on Saturday, March 17th at Bosse Field. Tryouts will begin at 11 a.m.
Tryouts will consist of an interview, and participants will learn and perform a dance routine.
Prospective Otterbelles should wear tryout attire consisting of tennis shoes, shorts or leggings, and a t-shirt.
