Ottawa Re-Assigns Forward Zack Smith To Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the Ottawa Senators, announced today that forward Zack Smith has been re-assigned to Binghamton.

Smith was recalled for the third time in his career on Saturday, March 6 appearing in Ottawa's 2-1 shootout loss to Toronto that evening where he averaged 5:53 time-on-ice. In nine games with the Senators this season, Smith has recorded two points (two goals) and nine penalty minutes while averaging 9:13 time-on-ice per game.

The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals and added 18 assists in 56 games with the B-Sens this season. The native of Maple Creek, Sask. has played 135 career AHL regular-season games (all with Binghamton), recording 37 goals, 42 assists and 224 penalty minutes.

Smith was Ottawa's third-round selection (79th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The Binghamton Senators host the Syracuse Crunch tonight at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena at 5:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
