Ottawa Fury FC News Release
OTTAWA, ON - The resounding success of the Fury Fanatics program has forged strong relationships with community clubs in Ottawa/Gatineau over the past year. Further demonstrating their commitment to youth soccer, Ottawa Fury FC has launched F.I.T. Program (Fanatics In Training), presented by Canadian Tire, to create new partnerships with Ottawa/Gatineau soccer clubs and organizations.
"Building a soccer culture starts at the grassroots level," said Audra Sherman, Elite Academy Girls Head Coach and Community Engagement Specialist. "For soccer to thrive in Ottawa it takes a collective effort and investment to ensure the sport we all love continues to provide opportunities to all players."
Instead of Fury FC offering their own camps and clinics, F.I.T. sees Fury FC partner with existing programs engaging Fury FC first team players, Elite Academy Girls players and Fury FC coaches to help in the running of the camps and clinics sharing their knowledge and expertise.
"Our ultimate goal is seeing more people playing the beautiful game," added Sherman. "Having a pro club in our city is something we hope will aspire a new generation of soccer players and fans."
F.I.T. program options include:
Skills Centers
Team Training
Goalkeeper Training
Soccer-Specific Conditioning Clinics
Girls Only Clinics
Volunteer Coach Clinics
One-Day or Full Week Clinics
Camps
The club has partnered with the following clubs and organizations:
Cumberland United Soccer Club Skill Development Programs
Russell Soccer Club - Goalkeeping Clinics and Team Training
