Game Notes:

Same Old Same Old for Toffoli

67's right winger continues his steady scoring pace leading the OHL with 24 goals through 22 games this season. He is currently two goals ahead of his pace this past season when he had notched 22 goals through his first 22 games. Toffoli is also tied for 2nd in CHL scoring with the Rimouski Oceanic's Jerome Gauthier-Leduc. Emerson Etem of the Medicine Hat Tigers leads the CHL with 25 goals. Toffoli looks to build on a 5 point (3g, 2a) showing that he had in a win against Niagara on Sunday.

Monahan Set to Return this Weekend

Super sophomore Sean Monahan is on pace to return to the lineup this weekend after missing the past six games with a concussion. The talented center still holds a top-10 spot in scoring despite missing the last two weeks. Monahan will only add to the 67's firepower which has been steady in recent games, especially on the power play which has risen to second in the OHL on the season. Tyler Graovac (flu) and Sean Callaghan (hip flexor) are also expected to return to action this weekend.

Nishi Makes Strong First Impression

Recently acquired 67's backup netminder Michael Nishi made a great debut last Saturday night in Belleville. The Toronto native who was acquired from the Soo Greyhounds last Thursday, turned away 40 of the 42 shots he faced in a 3-2 win over the Bulls.

Local Talent

Generals goaltender Daniel Altschuller hails from Nepean and played his junior A hockey with the Nepean Raiders. Defenceman Scott Sabourin was born and raised in east end Orleans.
