Game Notes
First place up for grabs
With only 1 point separating the 67's and the Ice Dogs, Friday's game has heightened importance. The winner of the Eastern Conference automatically gets home ice advantage all the way until the OHL Final.
Lots of Offense to watch for
Tyler Toffoli will try to become the first 50 goal man in the OHL this year on Friday night and the first 67 to record back to back 50's since Corey Locke in 2003-2004. Toffoli leads the league with 49 goals and 46 assists after a 3 point game Wednesday night in Kingston.
The 67's also have the second leading scorer among defensemen in top draft prospect Cody Ceci, and will be facing off against the leading offensive defenseman in Dougie Hamilton, who patrols the blue line for the Ice Dogs.
Oh Canada
Fans of the world juniors will recognize many of the names coming into town Friday. Four Niagara players suited up for Canada at this year's World Juniors. Brothers Freddie and Dougie Hamilton as well as Mark Visentin and Jamie Oleksiak were all there.
