Caging the Wolves

What a game! Last home game of the season and Tyler Toffoli was looking for his 50th goal of the season...we're all pulling for him and BOOM! He got two!!!! First 67's player to have back-to-back 50 goal scoring season since Corey Locke!

Now on to the highlights of the whole game...It was an intense first period... with lots of calls (just saying). The Wolves got on the board first and I was having flashbacks of last year's playoffs. Then Ceci danced a short hander in and it was a tie game. In the second Callaghan and Toffoli beat the Wolves net minder and the crowd went wild! Janes snapped another just 24 seconds into the 3rd and we could see the home stretch. Then those Wolves got hungry. They got two past Mrazek before Prince and Toffoli came to the rescue and we caged the Wolves 6-4. Last Home game of the regular season and we get to Celebrate right out the door. Sa-weet!

In the stands the place was packed (over 9,200)and we were ready to rock! Tina Alexander was here to do the anthem for us and Sarah McClurg and the band got us all jumping around. The kiss cam in the first was fantastic...all that romance in the air. *sigh* Though one guy really should have checked to see if his girlfriend was back from the concessions before he planted one on the girl next to him. Let's just say his toupee of popcorn wasn't as handsome as you might think. Lol

The anticipation was building towards the big event, the Mortgage Brokers Ottawa Million Dollar Shootout! It all came down to one woman...She took her million dollar shot and...a little short. The ice was unforgiving and alas, she did not win a million bucks. She did however have a great time and get herself some playoff tickets.

So now...we just wait to see who we play. Will it be Missisauga, Belleville or Oshawa? Stay tuned to find out! We'll know for sure on Sunday evening.
