Possible Playoff Preview

Friday's match up could be a preview of a first round playoff matchup. The 67's and Niagara Ice Dogs will likely battle down to the wire for first and second place in the conference while the Petes and 3 other teams are battling for the final few playoff spots.

Local Flavour

While Winchester boy Slater Koekkoek won't be playing on Friday due to a shoulder injury, 67's fans will be able to see other local players suiting up for the Petes. Detroit Red Wings 3rd round pick Alan Quine, Joey West from Orleans and Clark Seymour from Maitland all play for our division rivals.

67's Relocating to Scotiabank Place for next 2 seasonsSubject to the approval of City Council, the Ottawa 67's will temporarily move to Scotiabank Place for two seasons to help expedite construction schedules at Lansdowne Park and ensure the fan experience at home games remains a good one. The team will return to the Civic Centre at Lansdowne for the 2014-15 season.For more information please click here

MacFarland Done for the Season

A shoulder injury has ended newcomer John McFarland's season. The Florida Panthers draftee was examined by the team's medical staff in Florida and it was determined he would undergo surgery to repair a tear as soon as possible. Recovery time is expected to be four months.

Former Erie Otter Mike Cazzola will face his former team for the first time since coming to Ottawa at the trade deadline. Cazzola had spent his entire OHL career with the Otters before the move north. Since coming to Ottawa Cazzola has 21 points in 13 games and is a plus 10.

Otters looking forward to June

The Erie Otters will have a strong contingent in this summer's draft class with 5 players ranked among the top 200 North American skaters. 3 defenseman (Adam Pelech 54th, Troy Donnay 115th and Liam Maaskant 134th) and 2 forwards( Dane Fox 40th and Connor Brown85th) all hope to hear their names called this summer.
