O'Toole Earns NLL Weekly Honors

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks goalie Pat O'Toole was named the National Lacrosse League's Defensive Player of the Week after his victory over the Buffalo Bandits last Saturday. The award marked the second this season O'Toole has received the defensive honors.

He captured Defensive and Overall Player of the Week accolades on February 12th after making 34 saves and allowing only four goals in the Knighthawks' 11-4 win over the Toronto Rock on February 9th.

This past weekend, O'Toole made 38 saves and held the high-powered Buffalo offense to just six goals in an 11-6 win at The Blue Cross Arena. He also chipped in two assists, which included an outlet pass to spring Steve Toll for a key shorthanded goal.

The Knighthawks (7-7) travel to Minnesota to play the Swarm (9-4) on Saturday, April 19th at 8:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on WYSL 1040-AM, wysl1040.com and B2 Networks.
