Oshawa Generals News Release
The Oshawa Generals announced on Thursday that the team has acquired left-winger Alexandre Renaud from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for Windsor's 5th round draft pick in 2018 and Oshawa's another 5th round draft pick in 2019.
"Alex will provide size up front," says Roger Hunt Vice President and General Manager of the Oshawa Generals. "He is off to a great start this year and we feel he will help our younger forward group by providing leadership.
The Sarnia Sting originally drafted Alexandre Renaud in the second round 40th overall in 2012. Renaud has collected five points (two goals and three assists) in five games with Sarina this season. The 19-year-old recorded 13 goals and 15 assists in 65 games last year. The Gloucester, Ontario native is 6'5" and 218 lbs.
Renaud will join Oshawa before their game against Ottawa on Friday October 9th.
